VanCity Pro draws inspiration and direction from “Total Football”, “Positional Play” and “Modern Contemporary Football” methodologies used in leading football leagues including Spain, Germany, England, Netherlands and Ghana.

We have included "Total Football" methodology developed by AFC Ajax in the 1970s that revolutionized soccer. Some of us know how "Total Football" was taken to Spain by Dutch coaches, including Rinus Michels and Johann Cruyff. This style of play was then later was refined and extended into a philosophy of "Positional Play at FC Barcelona (Spain) by Pep Guardiola and at Arsenal FC (England). "Positional Play” permeated the Spanish national team and the academies of virtually every Spanish professional club.

Through a combination of highly technical players and a possession-oriented system of play, Spain dominated the soccer world for nearly two decades. This same philosophy has been engulfed into the professional academies in Germany, England other elite European soccer countries.
Our Positional Play game and Modern Contemporary Football model is based on and influenced by the successful possession-based tactics of European elite football clubs.
